Lecture room

The lecture room has a capacity for 40 - 50 visitors and is equipped with miscellaneous demonstration material. Really instructive is a model of our solar system on a scale of 1:1 billion (planetary orbits 1: 1 trillion). Display boards teach about the Sun and deep sky objects, such as nebulae, globular clusters and galaxies.

The miniature planetarium suits best for teaching about the movements of our Earth and Moon.

The lecture room provides multimedia equipment which can be used for shows and lectures. Further on it is possible to project live cam pictures from the telescope to the screen. Using this, astronomical events (e.g. planet occulations, eclipses) can be shown to many interested people at one time.
