Benefiting from it’s personnel and technical equipment our observatory enables the visitor to immerge into the fascinating universe of planets, stars and galaxies.

Weekly changing lectures on miscellaneous topics and multimedia shows help the people to understand the basics of astronomy. But especially his own view through our telescopes may enable the visitor to realize his position in the world and inside the universe.

The Allgaeuer Volkssternwarte was founded in 1966, based on the wish to visualize our own view of the universe and communicate the results of the latest astronomical research to the people.
